The Carolina Hurricanes have traded forward Kris Vertseeg to the Los Angeles Kings for prospect Valentin Zykov and conditional 5th round pick.
The 29-year old Versteeg was drafted 134th overall in the 5th round of the 2004 draft by the Bruins. He has $4.4 million cap hit, with the Blackhawks picking up $2.2 million
The 20-year old Zykov was drafted 37th overall in the 2nd round of the 2013 draft by the Kings.
