5. Kyle Okposo – New York Islanders

Kyle Okposo

The 28-year old Kyle Okposo is coming off a very friendly five year, $14 million contract – a $2.8 million salary cap hit, with a $4.5 million salary. Okposo will be looking for a long-term, big money deal.

At one point this season, there were rumors that he might be looking for upwards of $7 million a season. Now, it’s doubtful that he’ll get $7 million, but he should cash in nicely.

He’s coming off a season in which he scored 22 goals and 42 assists for 64 points in 79 games. Almost half of Okposo’s points came on the power play – 11 goals and 19 assists.

Teams looking for top-six winger will look at Okposo, but he may not get the big, long-term deal he was hoping for.
