Blackhawks trade Brian Campbell to the Panthers

The Chicago Blackhawks have traded defenseman Brian Campbell to the Florida Panthers for Rostislav Olesz.

Campbell carries a $7,142,875 million cap hit for the next 5 years. Campbell waived his no-trade clause.

Olesz carries a $3.125 million cap hit for the next 3  years.

Before the trade the Panthers were about $30 million below the salary cap floor. With Campbell they sit at about $22.3 million according to capgeek, with 11 players under contract. The cap floor is around $48 million.
