Elliotte Friedman: Matt Stajan is expected to sign a contract extension with the Flames soon.

Renaud Lavoie: On waivers: Cam Janssen (NJ) and Steve Oleksy (WSH).

Chuck Gormley: The Capitals send goalie Philipp Grubauer to the AHL.

John Kelly: Blues Vladimir Tarasenko is questionable tonight with the flu.

Sarah McLellan: Coyotes Martin Hanzal will be a game-time decision.

Pittsburgh Penguins: Pascal Dupuis will have ACL surgery on February 12th.

George Richards: Panthers defenseman Mike Mottau is on the IR, which allows for Jesse Winchester to return to the lineup. Mottau has been out since December 3rd.

NHL Devils PR: Devils Damien Brunner and Peter Harrold are practicing today. Rich Chere: Brunner said his knee injury was his MCL.
