Bob McKenzie: 12 noon today was the last chance for teams to put players on unconditional waivers for purpose of compliance buyout. Players that have no-movement clauses, like Mike Komisarek, can be bought out without going through waivers.
Pierre LeBrun: Rob Scurderi’s camp has received calls from teams today. Kings are still in the mix.
Pierre LeBrun: Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli has already reached out to Daniel Alfredsson.
Pierre LeBrun: Three teams have reached out to Tim Thomas.
Dave Molinari: The Penguins haven’t made an offer to Craig Adams yet, his agent: “We will speak later. In the meantime, we are open to other opportunities.”
Will DePaoli: An agent of a 3rd line winger who he thought at draft time that the Penguins may be interested: “Not sure Pitt has any $$ left.”
Philadelphia Flyers: The Flyers extended qualifying offers to Erik Gustafsson, Oliver Lauridsen, Brandon Manning and Eric Wellwood. They didn’t extend qualifying offers to Blake Kessel and Mitch Wahl.
