Edmonton Oilers: Ales Hemsky has gone back to Edmonton to have his ankle further examined.

Yahoo Sports NHL: Steven Stamkos took the morning skate with Lightning teammates for the first time since breaking his shin on Nov. 11th.

Chris Nichols: The Jets put Evander Kane on the IR retroactive to Jan. 7th.

Allan Walsh: The Devils activate Patrick Elias from the IR.

NY Islanders: The Islanders activate Radek Martinek off the IR.

Helene Elliott: The Kings have recalled Linden Vey from the AHL.

Dave Molinari: The Penguins send Simon Despres, Nick Drazenovic and Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond to the AHL.

Michael Smith: Hurricanes lines: Tlusty-E. Staal-Semin, Gerbe-J. Staal-Murphy, Skinner-Lindholm-Ruutu, Nash-Malhotra-Dvorak.

Roger Millions: Flames lines: Hudler Backlund Stempniak- Byron Monahan Colborne – Bouma Stajan Galiardi – Westgarth Street McGrattan.

Sarah Baicker: Flyers Steve Dowie will be a game-time decision.

Damian Cristodero: Lightning’s Sami Salo (ankle) will play tonight.

Mark Stepneski: Kari Lehtonen will start in net for the Stars.

Ian Mendes: Craig Anderson will start in net for the Senators. Chris Neil will be back in the lineup. Matt Kassian, Joe Corvo and Patrick Wiercioch will be scratched.
