Dallas Stars via twitter: The Stars have signed defenseman Alex Goligoski to a 4 year contract extension worth $18.4 million, a $4.6 million cap hit.

Sam Carchidi via twitter: Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said that a trade is NOT imminent.

Jonathan Willis of the Edmonton Journal: Oilers GM Steve Tambellini seems to have earned himself a contract extension. It doesn’t look like head coach Tom Renney will be getting an extension at this time. Both are in the last year of their deals.

Damian Cristodero of the Tampa Bay Times: Cristodero thinks the Lightning should consider trading for Blues minor league goalie Ben Bishop. It would cost them a prospect or a high draft pick that Yzerman prefers to keep.

Michael Russo via twitter: Wild center Mikko Koivu won’t play in the All-Star due to his shoulder injury and will be replaced by Jordan Eberle. Chris Johnston via twitter: Penguins defenseman Kris Letang was added to the All-Star game. (replacing Dustin Byfuglien)

Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe: Bruins forward Nathan Horton left last night’s game with an apparent head injury. “I guess we’ll find out in the next few days here,’’ Julien said. “But we certainly didn’t allow him to come back and play this game.’’
