Ottawa Senators via twitter: Official announcement that Daniel Alfredsson will be returning next season. Bruce Garrioch via twitter: Alfredsson will decide after the season if it will be his last, “I think the decision will be easier next year.”
Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly: The Flyers trading for Bobby Ryan make no sense. They don’t need Ryan, they needed Ryan Suter or Shea Weber. They need 35 less goals more than 35 more goals. The Flyers have a big hole on the blue line.

Also notes that you don’t replace James van Reimsdyk and Jaromir Jagr with Ruslan Fedotenko and depth forwards.
