- Helene Elliott via twitter: Bobby Ryan’s agent and the Anaheim Ducks have talked, and will talk again on Tuesday.
- Eric Stephens of the OC Register: Ducks and Ryan’s side are in active negotiations after their Friday meeting. There is the possibility that they look at a 2 year deal.
- Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune: Once training camp gets underway, Steve Yzerman will get in contact with Steven Stamkos’ side regarding a contract extension. Stamkos will be looking for a long-term deal, probably north of $7 million per season.
- Jim Gintonio of the Arizona Republic: RFA Martin Hanzal still remains unsigned by the Phoenix Coyotes, but GM Don Maloney expects to have him signed before the start of training camp.
- George Sipple of the Detroit Free Press: Andres Lilja skated in Detroit on Friday, but admits he’s frustrated with not having a contract. Lilja turned down a one-year, $1 million offer from the Wings because he wanted more, Detroit signed Ruslan Salei instead. He’s talking to a couple teams, but the market isn’t the greatest now. He could go overseas and make more money, but his first choice is to stay in the NHL.
