ESPN: The Chicago Blackhawks will be matching the offer sheet that Niklas Hjalmarsson signed with the San Jose Sharks.
The Blackhawks had until Friday to match the 4 year, $14 million contract. If the ‘Hawks had decided not to match it, they would have received a 2011 1st and 3rd round pick.
