Blues trade Perron to the Oilers for Paajarvi and a pick

The St. Louis Blues have traded winger David Perron to the Edmonton Oilers for winger Magnus Paajarvi and a 2014 2nd round pick.

Perron was drafted 26th overall in the 2007 NHL draft by the Blues. He carries a $3.8125 million cap hit for the next three years.

Paajarvi was drafted 10th overall in the 2009 NHL draft by the Oilers. He carried a $1.525 million cap hit last year and is a currently a RFA.
