Engelland suspended for 3 games for his hit on Kruger

Penguins defenseman Deryk Engelland has been suspended for 3 games for leaving his feet to hit Blackhawks forward Marcus Kruger in the head.

Kruger has been diagnosed with a concussion. Engelland has never been suspended by the NHL.

Chris Johnston via twitter: Engelland’s 3 game suspension will cost him $9,189.18.

Josh Yohe via twitter: Yohe doesn’t have a problem with Engelland being suspended, but thinks that 3 games is a little much and that the league is really inconsistent.
