Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News: Stars forward Jamie Benn suffered cut on his leg by Flames Mark Giordano’s skate. He’s listed as day-to-day. He is not likely to play on Saturday, but is a possibility for Sunday.
Jim Matheson Edmonton Journal: Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins practiced yesterday in a no contact jersey. He won’t play on Friday and is questionable for Sunday. Next Tuesday against the Flames could be the best bet. Defenseman Cory Potter, out with groin injury, skated yesterday but is not ready.
Gregg Krupa of the Detroit News: Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg has a lower body injury and won’t play tonight against the Predators. Jimmy Howard expects to play on Sunday.
