Michael Grange via twitter: Confirms that the NHL and NHLPA will hold ‘informal talks’ today in New York. John Shannon via twitter: Today’s talks between the Fehr’s, Bettman and Daly will just be open dialogue, no proposals or agenda.
Ken Warren via twitter: Senators GM Bryan Murray is not optimistic for a quick CBA resolution, and will ask Jared Cowen to play in the AHL. Mika Zibanejad will also end up in Binghamton and will be asked to play left wing.

Jeremy Rutherford via twitter: Blues Vladimir Tarasenko said that if there is a lockout he’ll decide between Peoria of the AHL and the KHL on September 15th after a talk with GM Doug Armstrong.
