Jeremy Rutherford: Blues Alex Steen: “It’s my third skate — like legit skate — I had one in Chicago. I took a few days off and then had one yesterday. I’m not expecting much. I’ve just got to see how it feels, how it reacts, everything. Day by day.”

Tom Gulitti: Devils Eric Gelinas said that his ribs are improving, but there is still pain when he twists and shoots. A doctor checked his ribs after Tuesday’s game, but no x-rays were taken. Said that he had a ‘contusion’ on his ribs.
Mike Chambers: Avs Dennis Everberg will likely require shoulder surgery.
Elliott Pap: Canucks Brad Richardson (ankle) was on the ice before their morning skate yesterday.
Dave Stubbs: Canadiens Tom Gilbert missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury and is day-to-day.
Bill Hoppe: Sabres Chad Johnson won’t play again this season.
