Ansar Khan: Red Wings Johan Franzen is eligible to come off the IR today, but he’s not ready. He didn’t skate yesterday. Coach Mike Babcock didn’t have an update on Franzen and he’s not making the trip.
Boston Bruins: Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli said that Kevan Miller’s dislocated right shoulder is progressing well. There is no timetable for his return.
New Jersey Devils: The Devils put winger Jordin Tootoo on the IR retroactive to October 21st. He’s listed as day-to-day. Tom Gulitti: GM Lou Lamoriello said that Tootoo has a bruised foot and that it’s not fractured.
Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News: The Flyers announced that both Braydon Coburn and Andrew MacDonald will miss the next four weeks with lower-body injuries. Coburn hurt his left foot in their season opener. He tried to return last week but must of had a setback. Not much is known about MacDonald’s injury. Zac Rinaldo is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
