- Erik Erlendsson: Jonathan Drouin and Cedric Paquette have been battling injuries. Tyler Johnson briefly left Saturday’s game after taking a hit from Dave Bolland.
On the Red Wings …
- Ansar Khan: Teemu Pulkkinen skated yesterday and feels good to return. He’s had a sore neck. Coach Jeff Blashill will decide on his roster today.
- Bill Roose: Landon Ferraro (knee) skated with teammates yesterday for the first time since the injury. He’s on schedule and hopes to return next week.
- Ansar Khan: Brendan Smith has been sick all week, and got worse on Saturday night. He didn’t skate yesterday and won’t play tonight.
On the Senators …
- Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun: The Senators could be without Kyle Turris for tonight’s game against the Red Wings. It looked like he injured his shoulder on Saturday after taking a hit from Mats Zuccarello. His status for tonight should be known later today.
The Senators will be without goalie Andrew Hammond who took a shot of his mask at practice yesterday. Hammond also took two pucks to the head during Thursday’s game. Matt O’Connor was recalled on an emergency basis.
On the Flyers …
- Jeff Neiburg of Philly.com: Forward Ryan White will be out two to four weeks with an upper-body injury after taking an awkward hit from Hurricanes John-Michael Liles.
- Mark Streit will be out six weeks after his surgery to repair a pubic plate detachment on Tuesday.
- Streit and R.J. Umberger (lower-body) were put in the IR. Umberger can come off the IR as early as Tuesday.
On the Coyotes …
- Sarah McLellan: Martin Hanzal and Boyd Gordon were given maintenance days. Nicklas Grossmann skated before practice yesterday. A good sign, but he’s not ready for game action according to coach Dave Tippett.
On the Canucks …
- Jon Abbott: Coach Willie Desjardins said that Brandon Sutter is still day-to-day. Brandon Prust and Luca Sbisa are back with the team.
- Jon Abbott: Sbisa said he twisted his left foot on his last shift against the Coyotes.
On the Hurricanes …
- Michael Smith: Defenseman Ryan Murphy’s upper-body injury is a concussion according to coach Bill Peter’s.
- Michael Smith: The Hurricanes don’t have any immediate plans to recall a defenseman at this point. They will go ahead with only six on their roster.
On the Panthers …
- George Richards: Aleksander Barkov will return to the Panthers lineup tonight, and he’ll be lined up with Jaromir Jagr and Jonathan Huberdeau.
- George Richards: Defenseman Dmitry Kulikov was getting a MRI on his lower-body injury. He is out versus the Lightning, and likely out for the rest of the week at the very least.
