- Tom Gulitti of the Record: Devils Cory Schneider’s status is unclear after he left after the first period last night. He has an upper-body injury after taking a Matt Beleskey shot off of his right collarbone and/or mask.

- Ansar Khan of MLive: The Red Wings don’t expect any injured players back before the All-Star break. Jakub Kindl is out at least another week. Tomas Jurco should be back after the break. Jonas Gustavsson should be back shortly after the break. Johan Franzen is working out off-ice, but still suffers from the odd headache. Jimmy Howard will be out another two to three weeks.
- Montreal Canadiens: Carey Price is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
- Ken Wiebe: Jets coach Paul Maurice said that Mathieu Perreault will be evaluated today after taking cross check from Carcillo.
- Sam Carchidi: Flyers Kimmo Timonen had some medical tests yesterday regarding his blood clots. Results won’t be known until next week.
- Rich Hammond: Kings Tyler Toffoli (mon0) had some blood work done on Thursday and was having a scan done on his spleen. He is feeling good.
- Jon Rosen: Kings coach Darryl Sutter on Robyn Regehr: “We’ll see what tomorrow brings. He’s better every day, and he’s fully cleared,so he’s been practicing all his game situations now, so I guess it’s whether he feels he’s ready.”
- Bryan Burns: Lightning coach Jon Cooper said that Tyler Johnson was held out of practice yesterday as a precaution. He was fine after Thursday’s game.
- Joe Smith: Lightning coach Cooper said that Victor Hedman will be a game-time decision.
- George Richards: Panthers Shawn Thornton (groin) is getting close to returning.
- Brent Wallace: Senators Mark Borowiecki is ahead of schedule, but there is still no timetable on his return. He hasn’t started taking contact yet.
- Chris Johnston: Maple Leafs Cody Franson was limping around after Thursday’s game.
