John Boruk: Flyers Claude Giroux is on schedule, if not slightly ahead according GM Paul Holmgren.
Chip Alexander: There is no update on Hurricanes Joni Pitkanen yet. GM Jim Rutherford is returning from Michigan and will meet with Pitkanen when he gets back. Darren Dreger: Should know more in the next couple of days, which will determine if they need to get a defenseman through a trade or sign a free agent.
Erik Erlendsson: Lightning defenseman Brian Lee is skating but is not expected to be cleared when players report tomorrow.
