Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune: Blackhawks defenseman Mike Kostka skated yesterday but remains on the IR. Bryan Bickell will still be out for a couple weeks with a left knee injury.
Jeremy Rutherford: Blues Ryan Reaves had surgery yesterday on his fractured right hand. He’ll be re-evaluated in six weeks, which is longer than initially thought.
Aaron Portzline: The Blue Jackets put Nathan Horton on the LTIR last week to clear salary cap room. CapGeek: There are now 15 teams that have at least one player on the LTIR.
Harvey Fialkov: The Panthers put Matt Gilroy on the IR with a lower-body injury.
Rob Mixer: Blue Jackets Nikita Nikitin left last night’s game with a lower-body injury.
James Mirtle: Maple Leafs coach Randy Carlyle said that Joffrey Lupul pulled his groin last night. The severity is not known yet.
