Steve Zipay: Rangers Henrik Lundqvist is day-to-day with a “minor issue” and not guaranteed to start on Thursday.
Ansar Khan: Red Wings GM Ken Holland said that Darren Helm has a sore groin and going through more tests yesterday to see if it’s torn. He won’t be ready to play this weekend.
Ansar Khan: Red Wings Patrick Eaves will be ready for Saturday. No roster moves will be made until Darren Helm comes off the IR.
Ansar Khan: Red Wings Jonathan Ericsson is on the short-term IR with a shoulder subluxation. Helene St. James: Ericsson will be out two to three weeks.
Roger Millions: Flames David Jones and Matt Stajan are now day-to-day and skating with the team.
Randy Sportak: Flames Mark Giordano is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
