John Vogl: Sabres Ryan Miller(sore groin) didn’t dress last night but is expected to play in their next game. Defenseman Henrik Tallinder will be out about a week.
Arpon Basu of NHL.com: Canadiens Max Pacioretty missed last night’s game with a left arm injury that was originally injured during their home opener against the Maple Leafs.
Michael Russo: Wild’s Charlie Coyle left last night’s game with an injury and did not return. Coach Mike Yeo said that it isn’t “gravely serious,” but unlikely to play on Tuesday.
Katie Carrera of the Washington Post: Capitals defenseman Jack Hillen had surgery on Friday to repair a fractured tibial plateau (top part of tibia that is under the knee). He will be out four to six months.
Pittsburgh Penguins: Penguins Kris Letang skated yesterday but there is still no timetable for his return.
Elliott Pap of the Vancouver Sun: Canucks Alex Burrows is likely out for a couple of weeks after blocking a shot with his right foot on Thursday.
