Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press: Red Wings GM Ken Holland said that Johan Franzen will be back on Friday, with Luke Glendening likely going back to the AHL. Darren Helm could return on Saturday, with Jonathan Ericsson likely moving to the IR with his sore shoulder. Ansar Khan: Ericsson will start practicing next week.
Michael Smith: Hurricanes GM Jim Rutherford on Jeff Skinner: “He’ll return by next week. We’re hoping for the weekend, but we’re not sure.”
Aaron Portzline: Blue Jackets Jack Skille (shoulder) remains day-to-day.
Sarah McLellan: The Coyotes will have make a roster move when Lauri Korpikoski comes off the IR. No decision has been made yet.
Sarah McLellan: Coyotes David Schlemko is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Korpikovski should be back today.
Michael Russo: Wild’s Charlie Coyle is expected to return on Friday. Both Jonas Brodin and Keith Ballard could return on Friday as well.
