Nick Kypreos: Lightning’s Steven Stamkos is wearing a removable cast that will allow him to start his aggressive rehab program. There is still no timetable for his return.
Jeff Rimer: Blue Jackets Marian Gaborik will be out four to six weeks with a sprained knee.
Shawn Mitchell: Blue Jackets Boone Jenner is expected to return to the lineup on Sunday.
Bob Duff: Red Wings GM Ken Holland confirms Daniel Alfredsson is out with a groin injury. Luke Glendening will be recalled on an emergency basis if Alfredsson can’t go.
Damian Cristodero: Lightning’s Sami Salo (lower-body) is probably for tonight’s game. Mark Barberio (lower-body) is questionable.
Josh Cooper: Predators Eric Nystrom left last night’s game with an upper-body/head injury.
