Erik Erlendsson: Lightning’s Steven Stamkos said his eight-week x-rays were good. Rehab has accelerated a bit. He still has issues with tight turns.
Lou Korac: Blues Alex Steen said that he’s feeling good, no timetable is set, day-to-day.
Lou Korac: Blues Roman Polak said he has the green light to return to the lineup. It’s up the coaches when he get back into the lineup.
Rob Rossi: Penguins Beau Bennett is still four weeks away. Joe Vitale (upper-body) will be out three weeks. Brian Gibbons is out a week.
Tim Panaccio: Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said that Matt Read is getting “closer” to getting back in the lineup and a decision if he’s ready will be made after their morning skate.
Jim Matheson: Oilers Sam Gagner (ankle) and Taylor Hall (shoulder) didn’t practice yesterday.
