Josh Cooper of the Tennessean: Phoenix Coyotes center Matthew Lombardi has been out since the 2nd game of the season with a concussion, still doesn’t know when he’ll able to return. Regarding physical activity Lombardi said, “I haven’t been able to do anything.”
Jonas Siegel of AM640: Jonas Gustavsson is expected to start in net for the Maple Leafs on Friday and Saturday. JS Giguere is getting closer to returning, “If I had a weekend of practice ahead of me I’d say maybe Tuesday would be a great day,” said Giguere. “But who knows, might be before that, might be after that.
Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Marc-Andre Fleury will make his 7th straight start tonight for the Penguins. Brent Johnson, who’s had an inner-ear problem, says he’s ready to go.
Aaron Portzline via twitter: Steve Mason will start for the Blue Jackets on Friday versus the Red Wings. Portzline also reports that Marc Methot will take part in the morning skate and could play tonight.
Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News: Jhonas Enroth was returned to the AHL, so it looks like Ryan Miller is ready to go. Derek Roy (elbow and migraines) should be ready for tonight’s game against the Maple Leafs. Craig Rivet will likely be a healthy scratch again.
