- Dmitry Chesnokov via twitter: Leo Komarov signed a 2 year deal with Dynamo Moscow of the KHL. The Maple Leafs were reportedly interested in signing him. He has an out clause for the NHL if he gets an offer he likes.
- Bob McKenzie via twitter: Defenseman Alex Yemelin wants to play in the NHL next year, and the Canadiens want him to. When GM Pierre Gauthier returns from the World Championships next week, he’s expected to finalize a deal. Yemelin is NHL ready and should be a starting 6 defenseman in Montreal next season.
