KHL won’t allow Visnovsky to play without the Isles permission … NHLPA to look at Gomez situation … On Waivers

Matias Strozyk via twitter: (this morning) The KHL announced that Visnovsky is not allowed to play any games in the KHL without the Islanders. permission. KHL and NHL representatives will start working on the case.
Katie Strang via twitter: Strang was told that Lubomir Visnovsky will NOT be reporting to the Islanders training camp today due to “personal reasons.” It is still unclear if he’ll remain in the KHL. Bill Daly on Visnovsky: “The KHL has repeatedly said that they will not permit him to play, so I guess we will have to see what happens” Arthur Staple via twitter: Bill Daly in an email: “(Visnovsky) will not be allowed to play in the KHL without the #Isles consent.” The Islanders won’t be giving Visnovsky consent to play in the KHL. Katie Strang via twitter: The IIHF hasn’t received an official complaint from the NHL on the Visnovsky issue. The IIHF involvement would only happen if the NHL and KHL can’t settle the issue.
Renaud Lavoie via twitter: The NHLPA has contacted the NHL about Scott Gomez being asked to stay at home. Pierre LeBrun via twitter: The NHL doesn’t think the Canadiens did anything wrong. The NHLPA is reviewing the matter. Nothing may come of it, but the NHLPA wanted to discuss it with the NHL. Eric Macramalla via twitter: “NHLPA likely not too enthused with Gomez being sent without cause except for system CBA issue; unions always weary of bad precedents”
