Kari Lethonen signed a 5 year contract extension with the Dallas Stars worth $29.5 million. A $5.9 million salary cap hit.

John Carlson signed a 6 year contract extension with the Washington Capitals worth $23.8 million. Mike Morreale via twitter: Carlson will get $3.8 million in 2012-13 and $4 million from 2013-14 through 2017-18.
