Bob McKenzie: 2014-15 salary cap projection should come next week, sounding like it could be around $70 million.

Stephen Whyno: The Maple Leafs have recalled John-Michael Liles. Bob McKenzie: Liles’ recall doesn’t necessarily mean that the Leafs will loan Morgan Rielly to Team Canada for the World Junior Championship. If Liles plays well enough to stick and/or Rielly isn’t playing, Rielly could still be assigned to Canada by December 19th.

Elliotte Friedman: The Panthers put Matt Gilroy on waivers.
