- Tom Gulitti: The sale of the Devils was approved by the Board of Governors yesterday and will officially be announced today. The sale includes the operating rights to the Prudential Center. The total sale price is said to be more than $320 million. Jeff Vanderbeek will still have a minority ownership share and maintain a role with the organization.
- Ansar Khan of MLive: Red Wings GM Ken Holland has been trying to clear some roster spots through trades, but has had no luck and it’s looking like they will head into camp with all their current players.
“Things are pretty quiet,” Holland said Tuesday. “There’s not much going on.
“At this stage, lots of teams will go to camp feeling their kids will fill holes for them.”
“If we have to go to training camp with what we have I feel OK,” Holland said. “There will be more talk in camp. There’s moves to be made to get ourselves cap compliant.”
