Anaheim Ducks: The Ducks are the fifth team in the last 40 seasons to recorded at least a point in each of their first 20+ home games.
Todd Cordell: The Devils claim Alex Urbom off waivers from the Capitals. Tom Gulitti: “If another team had put in claim for Urbom, Devils would have had to keep him on NHL roster and then tried again to put him through waivers.” Since the Devils lost Urbom to waivers earlier in the season, they could send him directly to the AHL if no other team put a claim on him, as per the CBA.
Phoenix Coyotes: Mike Smith will start in net for the Coyotes. Oliver Ekman-Larsson will be in the lineup.
Rich Chere: Cory Schneider will start in net for the Devils against the Stars.
