Randy Sportak: Flames defenseman Mark Giordano will be considered an injury replacement for Team Canada.

Hope Smoke: Pierre LeBrun said that Team Canada debated till the last minute between Logan Couture and Rick Nash. Couture’s injury didn’t play a part in the decision.

Chip Alexander: Re-scheduling with Hurricanes-Sabres will be difficult because of the Olympic year, but it will be done according to Hurricanes GM Jim Rutherford.

Adrian Dater: The Avalanche sign Nate Guenin to a two year extension.
