Pittsburgh Penguins: Penguins defenseman Paul Martin said he’s fully recovered from the “significant injury” he suffered at the end of the playoffs last year.
Steve Zipay of Newsday: Rangers Ryan Callahan had no setback during his rehab from shoulder surgery. He could miss several games at the start of the season though.
Dmitry Chesnokov: CSKA GM Sergei Fedorov said the door is open for them to bring in Ilya Bryzgalov. Last Friday Bryzgalov met with Fedorov at an CSKA exhibition game. Fedorov added it was just a chat.
Dmitry Chesnokov: CSKA has stripped Alexander Radulov of his captaincy because of “problems with discipline” according to GM Sergei Fedorov.
Josh Brown: The OHL Kitchener Rangers made $22,165 last season, the 18th consecutive season they have turned a profit. They made $551,625 in 2011-12. Their total revenue last season was $6.1 million. Playoff revenue was $635,942.
