- Harvey Fialkov of the Sun-Sentinel: Panthers Peter Mueller is anxious to get back playing after years of dealing with concussion issues. Mueller signed a 1 year, $1.725 million deal in July:

- Duane Marsteller of the Tennessean: The Predators charter air service cancelled their contract with the team due to financial issues. The company also cancelled contracts with the Avalanche, Nuggets and Suns. Swift Air LLC kept it’s contract with the Bruins, Blackhawks, Blues, Celtics and Bucks.
