Chip Alexander: Hurricanes GM Jim Rutherford said that there have been a lot of trade calls this week, but wouldn’t say who was drawing the most interest.
John Glennon: Predators GM David Poile said that at this point, David Legwand won’t traded. Poile hasn’t taken any offers for Legwand.
Mark Spector: Spector thinks the probability of P.K. Subban being traded to the Oilers is “none.”
John Vogl: Islanders Thomas Vanek on going on the road right before the trade deadline: “You pack a few extra clothes for sure. That’s just reality, I guess.”
Bruce Garrioch: The prices on the trade market are likely to decrease leading up to tomorrows 3:00 PM EST deadline.
Arthur Staples: (as of early afternoon yesterday) Things were all quiet with the Islanders.
Hope Smoke: Nick Kypreos: “Whether Gardiner is traded over the next two days or not, I don’t think there is a long future for him in Toronto due to Carlyle”
Seth Rorabaugh: “I’m not sure there’s a realistic trade the Pens can make to make them a hands-down favorite to win the Cup. Injuries/cap killing them.”
Bob McKenzie: A Jaroslav Halak trade to the Wild is a rumor that won’t go away. Adrian Dater: “If Minny gets Halak it’ll destroy team chemistry IMO. Nothing against him, but Kuemper has support of room. Halak hasn’t earned it”
Dan Tencer: Tencer thinks the Oilers can get a second round pick for Ales Hemsky, retaining some salary to do so.
Igor Eronko: Evgeni Kuznetsov will report to the Capitals after his KHL’s last game, which is today.
Pierre LeBrun: The Rangers priority is resolving the Ryan Callahan situation, but they are monitoring the Ryan Kesler situation.
Brian Wilde: Canadiens Andrei Markov has a modified no-trade clause and would likely say no to a trade to the Oilers. The Kings is a more plausible destination.
Chad Graff: Gary Bettman said they are “very focused” on Minnesota hosting an outdoor game. He visited Target Field and TCF Bank yesterday.
Michael Russo: Bettman said he continues to receive interest in expansion from Seattle, Vegas, Kansas City and Quebec City.
