Washington Capitals winger, Tomas Fleischmann, will miss the start of the season as he’s out indefinitely with a blood clot in his leg. Fleischmann was tabbed a top 6 forward for the Caps heading in to camp, after potting 19 goals last season. The word is that he’ll begin skating early October, with the hope of returning to the lineup late October.
In other Capitals news, Michael Nylander, is the only player to have not reported to camp yet. Nylander is supposedly on his way though. He demanded a traded during the offseason because he was unhappy with the dimished role, but no team was willing to take on his $4.875 salary, which you can’t really blame them.
