Timmons progressing
Ryan S. Clark of The Athletic: It’s looking like Colorado Avalanche prospect Conor Timmins is doing better as he recovers from a concussion. There still is no timetable on when he can return.
Both the Avs and Timmins’ agent have said they won’t bring him back until he’s “really, really ready to go.”
Injured Senators close
Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun: Ottawa Senators forward Bobby Ryan could be ready to return to the lineup today.
Forward Matt Duchene and defenseman Christian Jaros are also close to returning.
“Right now, if I go one guy at a time, we’re hoping for Jaros, hopefully, Saturday or Monday and, hopefully, Duchene somewhere after that hopefully,” said Boucher following the club’s skate at Little Caesars Arena.
The Senators will be cautious with Duchene and it’s not a guarantee that he’ll play before Christmas, but he is progressing in the right direction.
Senators GM Pierre Dorion said on Wednesday that defenseman Mark Borowiecki could return next week.
Hall day-to-day
Amanda Stein: New Jersey Devils forward Taylor Hall is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
Pacioretty out with a minor injury
Vegas Golden Knights: Forward Max Pacioretty missed last night’s game with a minor injury. Forward Paul Stastny was in the lineup.
Pierre LeBrun: Pacioretty was injured on Wednesday. The injury isn’t any serious but they didn’t want it to become an issue.
Djoos out indefinitely
Isabelle Khurshudyan: Washington Capitals defenseman Christian Djoos will be out indefinitely after having surgery on his left thigh.
Coach Todd Reirden on how long Djoos could be out.
“No, I don’t think we’re ready to go there yet, but it’s probably going to be a substantial number of weeks. Tough situation for our team and the player as well.”
