Landeskog could return tonight

AJ Haefele: Colorado Avalanche forward Mikko Rantanen remains day-to-day. There is no real timetable for his return.

Ryan Clark: Avs forward Gabriel Landeskog skated yesterday in a regular jersey for the first time since he suffered his injury.

Mike Chambers of the Denver Post: Landeskog has been out for three weeks. He was projected to be out for four to six weeks with a separated shoulder. He could return tonight.

“I feel great. I’m ready to go. I guess we’ll find out (Friday),” Landeskog said after completing an optional practice Thursday.

Bishop and Dowling are day-to-day

Sean Shapiro: Dallas Stars goaltender Ben Bishop is day-to-day and he will remain with the team on their road trip.

Sean Shapiro: Justin Dowling is day-to-day. He went for x-rays after being hit with the puck on Wednesday.

Parise a game-time decision

Chad Graff: Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise will be a game-time decision tonight. Forward Joel Eriksson Ek “looked ready to go” according to coach Bruce Boudreau.

Pavelski “progressing” … Karlsson skates

Kevin Kurz: San Jose Sharks coach Pete DeBoer on forward Joe Pavelski: “Progressing. Consideration for tonight, but we’re going to be smart about it and take the extra time.”

Paul Gackle: Defenseman Erik Karlsson was back on the ice skating after practice yesterday.

Dermott practices in a regular jersey … Gardiner in a no-contact jersey

Paul Hendrick: Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Travis Dermott practiced yesterday in a regular jersey.

Luke Fox: Maple Leafs defenseman Jake Gardiner returned to practice yesterday in a no-contact jersey.

Luke Fox: Leafs coach Mike Babcock said that it would be ideal if defenseman Gardiner was able to return during the regular season. There is no timetable on when he’ll be back in the lineup.

Oshie out with an illness

Capitals PR: Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie missed last night’s game with an illness.
