Chris Hine of the Chicago Tribune: Defenseman Brent Seabrook won’t play tonight after suffering an apparent head injury on Tuesday.
“He’s not going to play (Friday),” coach Joel Quenneville said of Seabrook. “But we’ll say he’s day-to-day and go from there.”
Jonathan Toews is “feeling better” according coach Joel Quenneville, but didn’t practice yesterday. They are hopeful that he could skate today. A chance that he plays on Sunday.
On the San Jose Sharks …
Curtis Pashelka of the San Jose Mercury News: Defenseman David Schlemko said he’s close to returning but may not be able to go tonight. Schlemko injured his right ankle last Friday.
“All my weight kind of came down on my foot underneath me,” Schlemko said Thursday after an optional practice at Sharks Ice. “I watched it and was lucky I didn’t break it. … It feels pretty good. It’s definitely close.”

Roger Millions: Versteeg re-aggravated an upper-body injury.

Craig Morgan: Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson got three stitches on the outside of his lip and one inside. He left the game for concussion protocol before returning.
Sarah McLellan: Forward Max Domi is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Coach Dave Tippett hopes it isn’t serious.

Ken Wiebe: Mark Scheifele said that he was dealing with an upper hamstring injury that caused him to miss three games.
On the Dallas Stars …
Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News: Jiri Hudler (illness) and Johnny Oduya (lower-body) are close to returning to the lineup. The Stars in in Philadelphia on Saturday and Chicago on Sunday.
“I fully anticipate that he’d be ready by the weekend,” Ruff said of Oduya, who missed his ninth consecutive game Thursday. Hudler is a little trickier.
Defenseman Julius Honka missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury. Coach Lindy Ruff: “It’s not serious. I would anticipate a shot window for him.”
