Andrew Gross: New York Islanders forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau (upper-body) injury took part in their morning skate yesterday in a no-contact jersey.

Vince Z. Mercogliano: New York Rangers goaltender Jonathan Quick wasn’t quite ready to return last night.

Bob Rotruck: The Philadelphia Flyers activated defenseman Oliver Bonk from the IR and assigned him to the AHL.

Philadelphia Flyers: Forward Tyson Foerster will be out for two to three months with an upper-body injury.

Lou Korac of the Hockey News: The St. Louis Blues placed forward Nathan Walker on the IR with an upper-body injury. He’ll be re-evaluated in eight weeks. Forward Pius Suter is day-to-day and has missed the past two games with a lower-body injury. Forward Jimmy Snuggerud will be re-evaluated in six weeks. Forward Alexey Toropchenko will be out week-to-week with burns to his legs.

Mark Masters: Toronto Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube said that defenseman Brandon Carlo will miss an extended period of time and that he’ll “probably” need surgery.

“He has to get something done. It didn’t go the way we thought.”
