Steve Conroy: Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak hasn’t started skating yet and won’t be in the lineup tonight against the Red Wings.

Matthew Fairburn: Buffalo Sabres forward Josh Norris returned to the lineup last night. Norris before the game: “I was a little anxious. Woke up a little early this morning. Couldn’t really sleep. Just excited to get back in the lineup. I really just made sure I was good before I made the decision to come back.”

Colorado Avalanche: Not at practice yesterday were Parker Kelly, Gabriel Landeskog, Nathan MacKinnon (sick), and Victor Olofsson (maintenance).

Helene St. James: Detroit Red Wings forward Mason Appleton will miss tonight’s game and is day-to-day.

NHL Rumors: Chicago Blackhawks Looking to Move Laurent Brossoit

Michael Russo: Minnesota Wild forward Marco Rossi started skating yesterday. Coach Jon Hynes said they have a day between each game of their four-game road trip, and if he continues to progress, he could join them on the ice before the end of the trip.

Jessi Pierce: Wild coach Hynes said that forward Danila Yurov won’t play tonight but is travelling with the team, and is listed as day-to-day. Defenseman Jacob Middleton was given a maintenance day.

Alex Daugherty: Nashville Predators forward Michael McCarron left their last game with an undisclosed injury and is day-to-day.

Arthur Staple: New Jersey Devils coach Sheldon Keefe said that defenseman Brett Pesce is still “weeks” away from returning to the lineup. He’s already been out for five weeks.

Mike Morreale: Devils defenseman Brenden Dillon left last night’s game after the second period. It was his 1,000th game. He got into a fight a minute into the second, left for a bit before returning late in the period, but didn’t come out for the third. They said it was more precautionary.

Vince Z. Mercogliano: New York Rangers forward Adam Edstrom has a lower-body injury, according to coach Mike Sullivan, and is being evaluated.

Curtis Pashelka: The San Jose Sharks have placed defenseman Vincent Desharnais on the IR.

Mark Masters: Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson was on the ice for practice yesterday. He had left Saturday’s game with an upper-body issue.

Luke Fox: Maple Leafs defenseman Brandon Carlo wasn’t on the ice yesterday like they had hoped.

Max Miller: Utah Mammoth forward Logan Cooley had been a game-time decision last night, but was able to play. He left Saturday’s game after a knee-on-knee hit.

Adam Kierszenblat: Frank Seravalli initially reported that Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko’s issue was only minor and he’d miss two to three weeks. Today is the three-week mark since the report, and he hasn’t taken part in a practice yet.
