David Savard is out 6-8 weeks with a fractured hand. Brett Pesce out with a lower-body injury. Matt Boldy could return during their road trip

Cap Friendly: The Anaheim Ducks put defenseman Jamie Drysdale on the IR retroactive to October 15th.

Kevin Paul Dupont: Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic is out with a lower-body injury. He’ll have more tests today or tomorrow.

Walt Ruff: Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Brett Pesce is out with a lower-body injury.

Charlie Roumeliotis: Chicago Blackhawks forward Taylor Hall was put on the IR retroactive to October 21st with a shoulder injury.

Aaron Portzline: Columbus Blue Jackets forward Dmitry Voronkov wasn’t quite ready to return last night. He skated yesterday but the team wants his fitness level to improve a bit to keep up with the pace of play.

Michael Russo: Minnesota Wild defenseman Jon Merrill was able to play last night. Forward Matt Boldy will travel with the team and it’s possible he will return before the end of it.

Montreal Canadiens: Defenseman David Savard will be out for six to eight weeks with a fractured left hand.

TSN 1200: Ottawa Senators defenseman Artem Zub didn’t practice yesterday.

Pittsburgh Penguins: Pittsburgh Penguins forward John Ludvig left last night’s game early.

Pittsburgh Penguins: Head coach Mike Sullivan on Ludvig: “He’s continuing to be evaluated at this point. That’s all I can really give you from a status standpoint. It’s a scary moment. It appeared that he almost got knocked out on the hit. Those are scary to watch. We are hopeful that he’s going to be okay.”
