Getzlaf traveling … Ritchie isn’t
Eric Stephens: Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf traveled with the team on their road trip. Forward Nick Ritchie didn’t travel. Both Getzlaf and Ritchie were out on Saturday due to an upper-body injury.
Raanta could practice this week
Craig Morgan: Arizona Coyotes goaltender Antti Raanta could return to practice this week. He’s been out since suffering a knee injury back on November. 27th.
Bennett practices
Pat Steinberg: Calgary Flames forward Sam Bennett practiced yesterday. He’s been out with an upper-body injury for four of the past five games.
Rantanen progressing
Ryan Clark: Both Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen won’t play tonight and they will remain out for an extended time.
Matt Nieto and Mark Barberio are able to play.
Vladislav Kamenev is still has a ways to go.
Rick Sadowski: Avs coach Jared Bednar said that Mikko Rantanen is “making progress” but they don’t have a timetable on when he could return.
No update on Werenski
Alison: Columbus Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella didn’t have an update on defenseman Zach Werenski after the game. Werenski left part way through the third period.
Ladd out four to five months
Andrew Gross: New York Islanders forward Andrew Ladd will be out for four to five months with an ACL injury. It’s not the same knee as before. He’s expected to be ready for the start of training camp.
Karlsson to skate less
Kevin Kurz: San Jose Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said that defenseman Erik Karlsson isn’t going to be skating every day. They’ll continue his rehab and still hope that he’ll be able to get into a regular season game.
Kevin Kurz: “I’m not a doctor, but when you’re skating every day and then you’re not, I would have to think that’s a setback. Very fair to wonder if Karlsson will be near 100 percent for the playoff opener in two weeks.”
Curtis Pashelka: Sharks forward Joe Pavelski could be ready for tomorrow. The Sharks are being cautious with him.
Hughes to practice with the Canucks
Brendan Batchelor: Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes will practice today and they’ll see how it goes. Would be surprised if he doesn’t play tomorrow.
