Mueller update, Bratt returns, and on Hall’s knee

Mike Morreale: New Jersey Devils coach John Hynes on Mirco Mueller: “No head or neck injury at all; no concussion. He basically has a left shoulder injury so he’s under the guidance of our medical staff. So for as bad as the hit looked and what we all thought possibly could happen, it was really good news with that.”

Mike Morreale: Devils forward Jesper Bratt return from his lower-body injury after missing two games.

Chris Ryan Of NJ.com: After trying various measures of rehab on Taylor Hall‘s knee, they decided early this week that arthroscopic surgery was the final option.

“Eventually it just came down to a situation where he needed to have surgery,” Devils coach John Hynes said. “He had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, and now that was what we all felt was best down the road, or through that whole process, and here we are. We’re looking forward to getting his rehab done and we’ll see where it goes from there.”

Hynes said it was more of a clean up than surgery to repair something.

Kane with a middle body injury

Kevin Kurz: San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane missed last night’s game with a “middle body” injury but they thinks it’s only short-term.
