Dan Arritt: Anaheim Ducks forward Leo Carlsson missed last night’s game with a lower-body injury. Forward Cutter Gauthier missed last night’s game due to illness. Forward Troy Terry missed his third consecutive game with an upper-body injury.

NHL: The Calgary Flames have placed forward Blake Coleman on the IR.

Lou Korac: Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin missed last night’s game due to an injury rebah schedule they have set up for him. He had played Saturday and Monday, and is coming back from an upper-body injury that caused him to miss 10 games.

Craig Merz: Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Damon Severson missed last night’s game due to illness.

NHL: Edmonton Oilers goaltender Tristan Jarry (lower-body) and defenseman Jake Walman (undisclosed) were activated from the IR.

Claire Hanna: Ottawa Senators coach Travis Green on goaltender Linus Ullmark, who is on a personal leave of absence: “He’s been around the rink. He skated this morning. All positives as he’s hopefully approaching getting back with the team.”

NHL Rumors: Artemi Panarin and Joonas Korisalo

NHL: Philadelphia Flyers forward Bobby Brink and defenseman Jamie Drysdale could return to the lineup tonight. Both have been out for three games.

Seth Rorabaugh: Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Erik Karlsson was placed on the IR with an undisclosed injury and will be out for at least two weeks. Karlsson had played in 208 consecutive games for the Penguins.

NHL: Penguins forward Bryan Rust (lower-body) returned to the lineup after missing two games.

Lou Korac: Not skating for the St. Louis Blues yesterday were forwards Robert Thomas (lower body), Mathieu Joseph (elbow infection), and defenseman Philip Broberg (concussion protocol).

Matthew DeFranks: The Blues activated forward Nick Bjugstad from the IR and placed Mathieu Joseph on the IR.

Eduardo A. Encina: Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brayden Point was wearing a brace on his right knee but remained with the team. They flew home after last night’s game and will get his knee looked at today. The Lightning are flying to St. Louis on Thursday.

  • Dave Randorf: Lightning coach Jon Cooper on Brayden Point: “We avoided the worst-case scenario. His season is not over. But he is week to week.”

The Leafs Nation: Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson missed last night’s game with a lower-body injury after blocking a shot.

NHL: Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko will miss at least a week.

Canucks coach Adam Foote on Kiefer Sherwood: “He’s trying to go through something, and my gut says it’s probably going to be a week to three weeks, probably,” Foote said. “It doesn’t look promising.”

SinBin.vegas: Sources say Vegas Golden Knights forward William Karlsson (lower-body) won’t be ready to return to the lineup before the start of the Olympic break, and is unlikely to be ready before the March 6th trade deadline. It’s possible that if surgery is needed, he could be done for the season.

Tom Gulitti: Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson (lower-body) skated in a no-contact jersey yesterday.

Bailey Johnson: Capitals forward Justin Sourdif (upper-body) didn’t skate yesterday. He left Sunday’s game in the second period after taking a puck to the face.

Mitchell Clinton: Winnipeg Jets forward Morgan Barron skated yesterday morning in a no-contact jersey.

Mitchell Clinton: Jets defenseman Neal Pionk didn’t practice yesterday. He was in the lineup against the Devils but not the Kings.

NHL: Jets defenseman Colin Miller will miss the rest of the week. He’s considered day-to-day.
