Isabelle Khurshudyan: Defenseman Matt Niskanen left last night’s game early with an upper-body injury. He’ll be re-evaluated today.

Eric Stephens: Coach Randy Carlyle said that goaltender John Gibson is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. The injury happened during the warm-ups. He initially felt okay, but it got worse.

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Craig Morgan: Goaltender Antti Raanta is listed as day-to-day but hasn’t been ruled for today’s game.

On the Colorado Avalanche …

Mike Chambers: Forward Nathan MacKinnon was high-sticked in the face by Derek Grant.

Mike Chambers: MacKinnon left the game early with an eye injury.

Adrian Dater: Coach Bednar said after the game that MacKinnon was fine.

Adrian Dater: Bednar added that it’s likely that MacKinnon plays today.

On the Minnesota Wild …

Minnesota Wild: Forward Charlie Coyle will be out six to eight weeks after fracturing his right fibula. He’s been put on the LTIR.

Forward Marcus Foligno will be out for at least a week with a left facial fracture.

Forward Nino Niederreiter is on the IR with a high ankle sprain and will be out for at least three weeks.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Rick Dhaliwal: Coach Travis Green won’t have any info on Alex Edler’s lower-body injury until today.
