News 1130 Sports: Goaltender Jacob Markstrom is out with food poisoning and didn’t travel with the team. Brendan Gaunce and Loui Eriksson also didn’t travel with the team.
Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province: Forward Markus Granlund requires wrist surgery and will be out for the remainder of the season. Granlund has been dealing with a bad wrist for the majority of the season. Reid Boucher will take Granlund’s spot on Bo Horvat and Sven Baertschi‘s line.
“Losing a guy like him is going to be tough for us,” said Horvat. “He was a huge part of our team and had a pretty impressive year. It just shows his character. It (wrist) has pretty much been bugging him all year — and even for the last couple of years — and for him to play through that is impressive.”
