Isabelle Khurshdyan of the Washington Post: Forward T.J. Oshie suffered an upper-body injury last night and will be re-evaluated today. Coach Barry Trotz didn’t update after the game. Oshie took a big hit from Senators defenseman Dion Phaneuf.

On the New Jersey Devils …

Mike Morreale: Devils defenseman Yohann Auvitu left last night’s game early with a lower-body injury.

On the Ottawa Senators …

Bruce Garrioch: The Senators are saying the Clarke MacArthur and Craig Anderson could return at the end of January or early February.

On the Florida Panthers …

Florida Panthers PR: Forward Nick Bjugstad was put on the IR.

On the New York Rangers …

Brett Cyrgalis of the NY Post: Mika Zibanejad is close to returning to the Rangers lineup.

“It will probably be a matter of getting a couple practices in,” Vigneault said, “feeling good about his conditioning and feeling good physically and mentally, and we’ll make a call from there.”

On the Nashville Predators …

Adam Vingan: The Predators put James Neal on the IR. He’ll be out for at least two games.

John Shannon: Defenseman Chris Tanev was not in the lineup last night.

Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province: Defenseman Ben Hutton blocked a shot on Friday with his left hand and is out.

Coach Willie Desjardins on Tanev’s upper-body injury. He was hit by a slapshot on Friday.

“There could be some concern with that, but I think he’s going to be fine to go (on road trip).”

On the Winnipeg Jets …

Darren Dreger: The Jets didn’t give much of an update on Patrik Laine. He will see their doctors today to determine his status.

Ken Wiebe: Laine walked out of the rink to the team bus.
