Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby could return to the lineup tonight
On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Wes Crosby of NHL.com: Sidney Crosby returned to full-contract practice yesterday and could return tonight against the Panthers. Crosby’s been out since October 7th.

“I feel good,” Crosby said. “It’s good to have some days like that. Hopefully we can build from here. … It’s encouraging to be able to practice with the team and go in the right direction.”

On the Dallas Stars …

Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News: The Stars put Ales Hemsky on the IR after he re-injured his groin on the weekend. Jason Spezza is questionable after he tweaked something at practice yesterday.

They are already missing Cody Eakin (knee), Mattias Janmark (knee), Patrick Sharp (concussion), Patrick Eaves (lower-body) and Jiri Hudler (flu).

Eaves skated yesterday and could be ready for tonight. Hudler skated yesterday but is not expected to play.

Sean ShapiroJason Dickinson has been cleared for contact with the Texas Stars. He’s still day-to-day.

On the Boston Bruins …

Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston GlobeMalcolm Subban could start tonight as Tuukka Rask and Anton Khudobin are hurt. Rask is day-to-day according to Claude Julien.

“We are in a situation here, we’ll see what happens,’’ said coach Claude Julien, unable or unwilling to share much about his goalie woes. “If is going in goal, he’ll go in goal, as simple as that.’’

On the Buffalo Sabres …

John Vogl of the Buffalo News: Goaltender Robin Lehner will be out tonight with an illness.

Jack Eichel is still in a walking boot and using a scooter to get around. He’s two weeks into an estimated eight week recovery.

“It’s a slow progression,” Bylsma said. “Other than maybe walking around just a little bit on it, he’s still in a timeframe where he’s being very cautious in the boot.”

On the St. Louis Blues …

Lou Korac: Coach Ken Hitchcock will have a better update on Jori Lehtera today. He skated yesterday for an extended period of time.

On the Los Angeles Kings …

Lisa Dillman: Jeff Zatkoff will be out a week or so according to Darryl Sutter.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Ben Kuzma: Alex Burrows and Derek Dorsett could be out for a week.

Matthew Sekeres: Dorsett and Burrows were put on the IR.

Matthew Sekeres: Chris Tanev won’t got on the IR and he could play on Friday or Saturday.

On the Columbus Blue Jackets …

Aaron Portzline: Defenseman Ryan Murray is out and is not traveling with the team.

Aaron Portzline: Goaltender Joonas Korpisalo (groin) is traveling with the team. He’s skating and receiving treatment. He could be ready to return in seven to 10 days.

On the Minnesota Wild …

Dane MizutaniErik Haula and Jared Spurgeon are listed as day-to-day. Spurgeon skated yesterday. Haula didn’t skate yesterday.

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Sarah McLellan: Coach Dave Tippett said that Jamie McGinn is a possibility for tonight. They will see how he’s doing this morning.

On the Carolina Hurricanes …

Chip Alexander: Coach Peters said that Jeff Skinner is still being analyzed. Said it’s not a concussion.
